Requirements
- The free plugin (Cascading Dropdown Redirect Block – Elmspur Cascade) must be installed and active. Pro is an add-on, not a standalone replacement.
- WordPress 6.2+ and PHP 7.4+.
Installation
- Purchase Pro at elmspur.com/pricing/.
- Download the
.zipfrom your account after purchase. - In wp-admin go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
- Choose the
.zipand click Install Now, then Activate.
Activating your license
- Go to Settings → Cascading Dropdowns Pro.
- Enter the license key from your purchase receipt email.
- Click Activate license.
- The status changes to Active when successful.
The plugin re-validates your license daily. Network failures during a check don’t downgrade an active license — it stays valid until the next successful check confirms otherwise.
What Pro unlocks
- Saved menus panel — a new Saved menus (Pro) panel appears in the block sidebar for both block variants.
- Priority email support — with a one-business-day response target.
Saved dropdown trees
The Saved menus (Pro) panel lets you create named dropdown trees and link multiple blocks to them:
- Save current as new… — names and saves the block’s current tree, then links the block to it.
- Linked saved menu dropdown — link this block to any existing saved tree. Linked blocks always render the saved tree’s current data on the front end.
- Update saved menu — pushes local edits back to the saved tree, updating every block linked to it site-wide instantly.
- Unlink (keep a copy) — detaches the block from the saved tree and keeps the current data as a local independent copy.
Deactivating the license
Go to Settings → Cascading Dropdowns Pro and click Deactivate on this site. This frees the site’s slot so the license can be activated on a different domain. Staging and localhost installs do not count against your site limit.
